This camp will provide its participants with both skill instruction and competitive wrestling. There will be three sessions a day with time equally distributed between skill instruction and competitive wrestling. The skill instruction will emphasize takedowns, pinning and leg wrestling. Every day there will be an optional instructional session where campers can work with an instructor of their choice and select the technique to be taught. Our competition concept will involve team versus team competition and individual tournaments with campers scoring points for their respective teams. The competition will culminate in an overall Camp Team Champion. Each team will wrestle ten dual meets. Campers attending camp as individuals will be put on a team for a competitive experience.
There will be one weigh-in at camp registration. There will not be set weight classes. To prevent weight loss, each weight class will be in a range of four to five pounds.
