Bob Guzzo, the camp director, is the former head wrestling coach at NC State University where he coached for 30 years. During his tenure, Bob amassed 356 dual meet victories, coached 24 All-Americans, four national champions, including the outstanding wrestler in the nation in 1988 and led NC State to 13 ACC team titles. Bob was the founder and director of the highly successful Wolfpack Wrestling Camp at NC State and throughout his career has directed camps across the country.

Bobby Weaver
Bobby Weaver is a USA Olympic Gold Medalist. Bobby is an incredible athlete and made his first Olympic team while still in high school. He was a three time high school state champion, wrestled collegiately at Lehigh University where he was an All-American, and internationally was a world Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist.
Bobby continues to do instructional clinic in his local community of Easton, PA, during the wrestling season and throughout the country during the summer.

Hachiro Oishi, a native of Tokyo, Japan, won three of his country's national titles and two USA national titles. As an assistant coach at Penn State University for 17 seasons, he helped guide the Nittany Lions to national prominence. During his coaching career, Penn State had 12 top 5 NCAA tournament finishes and 11 national champions. While being considered the best teacher of upper body throwing techniques in the world, he is credited with developing Penn State's freestyle and Greco-Roman programs that have produced Olympions Ken Chertow, Sanshiro Abe, and Kerry McCoy. Hachiro has adapted many Freestyle and Greco techniques to scholastic style.

Tom Best
Tom Best. During his coaching career in Pennsylvania, Tom developed four individual state champions, including his son who was a four time state finalist. Throughout his coaching career, his teams were consistently of championship caliber and constantly ranked among the top in the state. Tom is a very popular instructor with the coaches and campers.

Tony Lasiello
Tony Iasiello. While Coaching at Bethlehem Catholic High School, Tony amassed over 400 dual meet victories, developed 11 individual state champions and won a Pennsylvania State High School Team Championship. Three of his high school products have gone on to win NCAA Championships. With all of his accomplishments including his recent induction into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Tony has distinguished himself as one of the top high school coaches in the history of scholastic wrestling.

Kendall Cross. Heroic gold medalist of the 26th Olympiad, Kendall is one of America's most celebrated athletes. His accomplishments in amateur and intercollegiate wrestling were dramatically punctuated by his dominating performance in the Atlanta Olympics. Flexibility and quickness, combined with uncommon mental toughness, brought him victory over far more powerful opponents. His dramatic finish left an indelible impression on all who shared the moment with him. For Kendall, it was the reward for his commitment to excellence and to the hard work which goes with it.

Jerry Winterton is the most successful high school wrestling coach in the histroy of North Carolina scholastic wrestling, In addition to his teams' winning 11 state individual tournament championships and eight dual meet titles, his coaching accomplishments include 225 consecutive regular season home wins, 26 of 28 undefeated dual meet seasons, and an unprecedented Cary High School dual meet record of 510-3. While winning 27 consecutive conference titles and 17 consecutive regional titles, he coached 19 state champions. For his many accomplishments and contributions to the sport of wrestling, Jerry garnered ten Mat News Coach-of-the-Year Awards, and in 2007 was selected NHSCA National Coach-of-the-Year. In 2009, he was selected NWCA National Coach-of-the-Year. He has coached many all-star teams throughout his career and in 2006, he was selected to coach the National Dream Team, Williamstown, NJ. Jerry has been further recognized nationally by being selected to the State Chapter of the National Hall of Fame. Campers and coaches will be able to learn and share the philosophy, strategies, and wrestling technique of one of the most successful high school and nationally recognized wrestling coaches in the history of our sport.


Fred Jahad. Jahad, a former Wolfpack assistant coach, has developed several area schools into winners. His enthusiasm and energy make him a favorite with all campers. A former national champion from Iran and a collegiate wrestler in the United States, Fred has adapted many freestyle techniques to scholastic wrestling.
 
In addition to serving on the coaching staff at NC State, Fred has been an assistant coach at Duke and Purdue.
